Justice Hamoodur Rehman Presents His Famous Report to Mr Bhutto

Justice Hamoodur Rehman presented his famous report to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He was head of commission which was set up on July 1972 that assessed the involvement of military and politicians in the separation of East Pakistan.

Media nowadays (especially social media)  has started blaming Mr Bhutto about the separation of East and West Pakistan. Unfortunately, this game was being played by India since 1947. Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rehman played a role as India's puppet. By the way, Bhutto never said, "Idhar Hum, Udhar Tum". This has already been clarified by a renowned journalist Mr Abbas Athar, who admitted that he reported this news into the media and it was never said by Mr Bhutto.

Report consisted of several interviews and was too lengthy. However, it consisted of a critical conclusion about the failure of intelligence (e.g. ISI and FIA) and misconduct of Army.

It is said that there were 12 original copies of the report, 11 of them were destroyed and 1 was given to President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The report was (and it still is) considered to be highly classified. Hence, the government did not publish the report at that time to save some main institutions of Pakistan.

Unfortunately, the dictator Zia-ul-Haq later one rewarded the people who were indicted by the report:

Gen Jehanzeb Arbab - MLA Zone C (Sindh)
Maj Gen Rahim Secretary General Defence
Maj Gen Rao Farman Ali Head of Fauji Foundation and Member of Election (rigging) Cell, just to name a few.
